A room for the 2-bedroom apartment at Graduate Junction available for the entire summer!
Graduate Junction is the newest apartment on campus, opened in August last year.
Located on the 9th floor and facing south, you will always get the beautiful view of the Charles River and ample sunlight (first picture taken from the bed)! This applies both for the bedroom and the living room. Too bright in the summer? Don't worry, the two window shades can control exactly how much sunlight you want, from complete darkness to the brightest sunshine! The A/C is central and all utilities including electricity are included in the rent.
The bedroom is completely furnished with a full-XL bed+mattress, 4 drawers, a desk (with computer monitor) and desk chair, a bookshelf, and a built-in closet that comes with two large mirrors attached to their doors! The living room is also furnished, with a couch, coffee tables, entertainment stand and a 55-inch smart TV.
The full kitchen has everything you need, including microwave, dishwasher, kitchen island with dining table, electric cooktops, fridge and freezer with ice maker, oven, rice cooker, large sink with food waste disposer, and any other cookware and utensils you'll need!
Building amenities include on-site washer/dryer, study lounges, gym, recreation center, and ample bike storage! Reminder that this building is very new (it was being built around this time last year) -- more information can be found from the Junction webpage: https://www.americancampus.com/student-apartments/ma/cambridge/graduate-junction
The building is located very close to the Charles River, right next to Fort Washington Park. There's a BlueBike station and MIT shuttle stop literally right next to the apartment. The central MIT sports center (Z Center) is also very close. The place is close to Trader Joes and walking distance to Central where there's Target, CVS, H-Mart, and Whole Foods, along with many places to eat. I walk/bike to my office near Kendall every day!
You have the bedroom to yourself and will be sharing the living room, kitchen, and restroom (which has a bathtub) with my roommate who is very responsible, chill, and fun. We've been living together for the 3 years of our PhD programs with no issues!
I'm setting the rent as $1,650/month (prorated accordingly), which is lower than the standard AY 2024-2025 rent and significantly lower than the rate that will increase starting August. A $300 deposit is requested to secure the place, which will be returned in full when you move out.
Exact sublicense date and rent negotiable! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. More than happy to give you a tour, either online or in person!
